HOMEGROWN Music and Mountain Sports Festival 2018
Don't have any complaints except that it would be GREAT if more women would play these events. TD, Zack Asbury, put together a great course with some challenging fairways and OB. I was the ONLY women's player there for the 2 rounds on Saturday. It was good to see Lauren out for doubles on Friday night, but she wasn't able to make it to the tournament on Saturday. It was pretty fun to get to throw over and onto several baseball fields. The main excitement came when I lost a couple of discs, but then this crazy dude got in the nasty pond and swam around for about 20 minutes to get my Verdict. Gross. We won't talk about the way he smelled when he got in the car.
I played pretty well in round 1. Under par. But round 2 was hot and LONG. But - WHAT DO YOU KNOW I WAS ABLE TO PULL OUT THE WIN!!!! LOL. I wish more women would just pick up a disc and give it a try. Nobody hit an Ace in the tournament, and I was able to get my Truth closest to the basket for a nice $80 share of the Ace Pot. Overall, we had a great time. The music was awesome and there were some great vendors and food to eat. Looking forward to next year!
Big Thanks to Matt Loyd at the NWA Dynamic Store for my new Marshall Putters.
Great approach discs. I love them. Can't wait to use them at Jr. Worlds!
